Technician deep cleaning living room carpet with a hot-water extraction wand

Carpet Cleaning across the Merrimack Valley, Greater Lowell, the Andovers, and Nashua

Carpet fails from the bottom up. What dulls a hallway is not the surface soil you can see but the dry, gritty sand that works down to the base of the pile and abrades the fibers every time someone walks across it — and in this region, that grit is largely winter road sand and salt tracked in from October through April. Vacuuming removes some of it. Hot water extraction removes what vacuuming cannot: soil suspended in the fiber, oily residue that binds new dirt to old, and the detergent left behind by whoever cleaned it last. That is why traffic lanes come back lighter after a proper extraction rather than just smelling clean.

Our process is pre-inspection, pre-spray, agitation, extraction, and post-treatment, in that order, because skipping steps is what makes carpet look clean for two weeks and then re-soil fast. We identify the fiber type first — nylon, polyester, olefin, wool, or a blend — since a wool area rug and a nylon wall-to-wall carpet do not tolerate the same chemistry or water temperature. Traffic lanes and spots get pre-treated and given real dwell time. Agitation works the solution into the pile so it releases soil instead of floating on top. Then high-heat extraction pulls the soil and the solution back out with as little residual moisture as we can manage.

Pet stains are a separate problem from pet stains' smell. Urine passes through the carpet into the backing and often into the pad and subfloor, so surface cleaning removes the visible mark and leaves the odor to reappear on the next humid day. We locate contamination, treat with enzyme products that break down the uric acid crystals actually causing the smell, and when the pad is saturated we say so honestly rather than charging for a treatment that will not hold. Old pet accidents can also cause permanent dye change, and we tell you which stains will lift and which are cosmetic damage before we start.

Carpet is also an allergen reservoir, which matters here more than most places. Pollen loads through spring, closed-up houses through a long heating season, and dust mites living in the pile add up to a measurable indoor air problem for anyone with asthma or allergies. High-heat extraction removes dust mite allergen, pollen, and the fine dust that settles into carpet between vacuum passes. Families with young kids crawling on the floor and households near pollen-heavy areas of Chelmsford, Andover, and Tyngsborough typically schedule twice a year, in late spring after the pollen drops and again in early winter after the sand season starts.

We do commercial carpet too, and it is a different job. Glue-down carpet tile in offices, corridors, and multi-tenant buildings gets interim encapsulation to keep appearance up between deep cleans, then periodic hot water extraction on a scheduled cycle, worked after hours so nobody walks on damp carpet during business hours. We also clean stairs, area rugs (including wool and delicate rugs cleaned in place with adjusted chemistry), and commercial entry matting. Crews are insured and background-checked, quotes are free and in writing, and we schedule Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, across the Merrimack Valley, Greater Lowell, the Andovers, and Nashua.

What's Included

What our carpet cleaning covers

  • Pre-inspection and fiber identification

We identify fiber type and construction, test for colorfastness, and flag any stain that will not fully lift before we start.

  • Traffic lane pre-treatment

Hallways, doorways, and pivot points get a dedicated pre-spray with real dwell time so the worst areas actually release soil.

  • Agitation with a groomer or rotary tool

Solution is worked into the pile rather than left on the surface, which is the step budget cleaners skip most often.

  • Hot water extraction

High-heat, high-flow extraction rinses soil and detergent back out, leaving as little residual moisture and residue as possible.

  • Spot and stain treatment

Targeted chemistry for coffee, wine, ink, grease, and rust — matched to the stain type instead of one all-purpose spotter.

  • Pet stain and odor treatment

Enzyme treatment that breaks down uric acid at the source, with honest assessment when the pad or subfloor is involved.

  • Stairs and landings

Hand-detailed with a stair tool, including risers, nosings, and the edges where a wand cannot reach.

  • Area rugs cleaned in place

Wool, cotton, and synthetic rugs cleaned with fiber-appropriate chemistry and protected underlayment beneath.

  • Commercial carpet tile programs

Interim encapsulation between deep cleans plus scheduled extraction for offices, corridors, and multi-tenant buildings.

  • Fast-dry finish and air movers

Extra extraction passes and air movers on request so most rooms are dry to the touch in four to eight hours.

Our Process

How carpet cleaning works with us

  1. 01

    Inspect and test

We walk the rooms, identify fiber and backing, test colorfastness in a hidden area, and set expectations on permanent stains.

  2. 02

    Vacuum and pre-treat

Dry soil is vacuumed out first, then traffic lanes, spots, and pet areas are pre-sprayed and given time to break down.

  3. 03

    Agitate and extract

Solution is groomed into the pile, then rinsed out with high-heat extraction and multiple dry passes to pull moisture back.

  4. 04

    Groom, dry, and walk through

Pile is groomed in one direction, air movers go down where needed, and we walk the rooms with you before we pack up.

Pricing

What affects the price

Every quote is free, written, and specific to your property — no phone-only guesses. These are the factors that move the number:

  • Number of rooms and total carpeted square footage, with stairs priced per flight
  • Soil level and how long it has been since the carpet was last extracted
  • Pet contamination, which requires enzyme treatment and sometimes sub-surface work
  • Fiber type — wool and delicate rugs need slower, gentler, more careful handling
  • Furniture moving, if you want us to move and reset pieces rather than clean around them
  • Add-ons like carpet protector, deodorizer, or air movers for accelerated drying
